Kinky Boots - the Film

I saw it, but I was in it. Blink and you'll miss me in the nightclub scene. My gigs as a film extra are few and far between, but memorable - to me at least. Even as we filmed we marvelled at the thought that this film was being made by Disney. The blandness of the nightclub song was the give-away for me. And later there was the stage show which I seem to have resisted seeing. Did "Kinky Boots" lead to any kind of a breakthrough? Story-wise we get a trans heroine, who is a general angel. Context-wise we are still locked in closets and night clubs. I hope it gave the footwear industry a boost. It gave me an adventure and I'm always glad for one of those.
