"Sissy Whore" - not for under-18's

Right, let’s talk about pornography. Not at great length, not now anyway, that’s for elsewhere on the site, but if transgender is a world it will sometimes contain, or be contained by, or simply overlap with pornography, and this link here will take you to pornography, so if that bothers you in any way at all then don’t click on the link. Also don’t click on the link if you’re not 18 years-old yet. And if you think pornography shouldn’t be on here at all I’d disagree with you and we might exchange thoughts on the subject but here it is anyway. And something needs to be said about the kind of pornography it is. It would probably be described as “trans pornography” but nowhere does the site use the word “pornography” and the favoured phrase for the category it belongs to is “she-male” which is the clue to its relationship with the wider transgender experience. “She-males” and “Chicks with Dicks” are a particular thing, a surgical halfway house which will offer men (and these sites are formulated for men) something like “the best of both worlds” or, actually, an image of that. The combination can be done more simply with cartooning since it’s an image-grafting exercise and cartoon-images can be as arousing as the “real” thing. This particular linked showing really gets close to comedy, but there has always been something comic about sex as a spectacle. The other cliché of pornography it demonstrates is the idea of woman as sexually depraved prostitute (See “Slut” on this site) which in its banality is an insult to women, trans and prostitutes. The point is that trans pornography is part of a hugely influential industry which yields pleasure for many but it’s essentially a quite limited way of exploring erotic action and it is rarely for trans or about trans. It’s a fix for image-junkies and as such is very addictive and therefore consumed world-wide. What we trans are missing is a pornography which is specifically for us as trans and about the strands of desire we uniquely enjoy. Some art offers this.
