It says,- "In the media, the representation of people coming out as trans and gender diverse is often focused on teenagers and young adults. Yet older people are increasingly coming out well into their retirement, buoyed by services that didn’t exist in their youth." This is a frank account of the realities of that coming out, in Australia where much is more supportive and some things are more adverse than in, say, the UK. For some of us this will chime with our experiences. For all of us it will sound a chord of sympathy.
