A useful leaflet from MIND, "the leading mental health charity in England and Wales". Even in 1999 it was clear that trans could come at a cost - that of mental health - and that a sane attitude to gender reassignment would improve the situation. Much of this advice and information is still to the point although understandings have moved on.
