"The Passion of Bradley Manning" - Chase Madar

This is the story of "before Chelsea" without which, in my opinion, the story of Chelsea in all its "tipping-point" turbulence loses most of its significance. It is updated to reach out to Bradley's transitioning but that is covered elsewhere. Unless we can grasp how it takes a particular kind of outsiderness and bravery in the newly choppy waters of the 21st Century to risk whistleblowing of this importance we can't truly embrace the power of trans.
