When I found out that Walter had transitioned it was one of my first realization moments about the social status of transitioning. She was a pioneer in more ways than one. Here she is brilliantly clear about synthesized sound. Given what we know about Wendy's trans history it is tempting to ponder ideas of synthesis in gender as well as music.
