Trans In The World - Mandy In The Pearl River Delta - Guangzhou By Night






Guangzhou - the enormous centre of the Pearl River Delta, its apex, with all of it devouring modernisms - has yet a secret place, a small piece of riverbank where the old colonial settlement buildings are. I headed there with my photographer, Vincent Assante Di Cupillo, who, as in Shenzhen, pulled every photographic trick out of the hat to capture the peculiar but glorious sense of freedom I felt that night, bless him.
