"Brazil culture wars heat up"

There's a lot in here from part of the world we may not consider very often from an LGBTQ point of view. But it's a big country and recent "populist" politics match similar developments in the US and Europe so we would do well to take notice of tendencies, not least in the arts and publication, -although the rate of trans murder in Brazil is also stupefyingly high. Note that the play in the main story is written by Scot Jo Clifford whose participation we were glad to have at "Tranny Hotel" in Liverpool in 2011
