The Great Make-Over

In 2006 I was invited to take part in a project which led up to Liverpool being Capital Of Culture in 2008. It was part of a set of projects called "Good Diversions" curated by Alan Dunn. I chose to concentrate on the big upheavals which were overtaking the City Centre and to introduce my Queen Of Culture role into the picture. This resulted in some great images (Taken by Leila Romaya and Paul McCann) and some of the best writing I have done in my life. In it I touch again on the complexity, the glory and pathos of the trans life, as I have tried to do in this site. The whole publication is reproduced in this link
